The Projects

Each student presented a poster and a 10 minute talk on what they did over the summer.

    Amina's project was with Shelia Kennison. She presented "The Imagery Effect of Adjectives".



    Jessie also worked with Shelia Kennison. She presented "Rating Nouns as Stereotypically Male or Female".


    Allison's project was with David Thomas. She presented "The Effect of Pace on Time Interval Estimation".


    Kim's project was with Melanie Page. She presented "Getting Through to Kids: Lessons in Stranger Danger".


    Brenda worked with Melanie Page and Charles Abramson. She presented her project that she and Noe worked on with Dr. A "The Effect of "Harmless" Pesticide on the Learning of Honey Bees (Apis Mellifera)". The project she is working on with Dr. Page is looking at if personality affects whether children prefer to play with toys or animals.


    Noe also worked with Melanie Page and Charles Abramson. He presented his project that he and Brenda worked on with Dr. A "The Effect of "Harmless" Pesticide on the Learning of Honey Bees (Apis Mellifera)". The project he worked on with Dr. Page was looking at generosity in children. Noe is conitnuing that work at his home school.


    Jessica's project was with Melanie Page. She presented "The Relationships Between Adult Attachment, Romantic Love Attitudes, and Conflict Resolution: A Comparison of Two Different Self-report Measures of Attachment".


    Sara's project was with Melanie Page. She presented " When Do Eating Disorders Start? An Examination of Psychological, Familial, and Social Influences on Pre-Adolescents Girls Body Image and Eating Behaviors".


    Ken's project was with Melanie Page. He presented "Organ Donation Attitudes, Death Anxiety, Knowledge, and the Effectiveness of Varying Forms of Organ Donation Message Strategies".


    Sherry's project was with Doug Hershey. She presented "Influence of Personality on Retirement Planning Behavior".


    Elizabeth's project was with Laura Hubbs-Tait. She presented "Mothers' Immature Moral Reasoning, Psychosocial Immaturity, and Depression as Predictors of Non-nurturant Parenting".


    Maka's project was with Amanda Harrist. She presented "Marital Communication and Parental Response Behavior".
