| I was very excited when I received notice of funding for the OSU Upward Bound Math and Science Center as I wrote the grant application that was submitted to the U. S Department of Education. We received funding for 5 years, September 2003 through August 2008, for $1.1 million dollars. I have had the opportunity to teach in post-secondary educational programs at a career technology center, a junior college, a historically black college, a comprehensive university, and a university medical center. I received a bachelor in nursing from the University of Michigan, a master in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, and a doctor of philosophy degree from Oklahoma State University. I’ve lived in Stillwater for over 30 years and my four children all attended Oklahoma State University. I’m excited about working with youth to help them be successful in high school and go on to college. |
