Welcome to the Oklahoma State University Upward Bound Math and Science Center website. Our Upward Bound Math and Science Center will

·         Help you recognize and develop your potential to excel in math and science.

·         Strengthen your math and science skills

·         Encourage you to pursue a college degree in math or science

We serve students enrolled the 9th through 12th grades in Cushing, Drumright, Frontier, Glencoe, Perkins, Tryon, Morrison and Stillwater high schools who are interested in careers in math or science.

As a student in our program, you will go on field trips and campus tours. We will help you prepare to take the ACT test and provide tutoring if necessary. We will also help you explore career opportunities in math and science. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a six-week summer residential academy at OSU.

The Upward Bound Math and Science Center Summer Academy is a free program. You will attend the Summer Academy each summer while you are in high school. You will stay in residential housing on the campus of Oklahoma State University during the week and go home on the week-ends. You will take courses that are geared to your grade level taught by OSU faculty in a simulated college environment. You will work with and learn from OSU faculty who are experts in the fields of mathematics, the sciences, and computers. Also you will have hands-on experiences in university laboratories, computer labs, and at research field sites. Coursework in the areas of mathematics, the sciences, and computers will expand and enrich your high school curriculum.

We’ll also have fun at the Summer Academy. We’ll be able to use the campus recreational facilities including the pool, exercise equipment, basketball courts, and more. We’ll go to the movies, check out the shopping areas in Stillwater, and attend evening programs on campus.

Check out our website for information on our program and helpful links to resources that will help you get ready for college.
